Mar 28 - San Gabriel

Hello All,

Wow! That is incredible that Vanessa is coming down here to South America. The people here are really amazing and I know that she will have a great time. Tell her to start preparing now and it will be fantastic. Buying a Book of Mormon in Spanish and starting to read it has really been a blessing for me in learning Spanish. Our Mission President made a promise to the Latinos that if they read the Book of Mormon completely in English, they will be able to speak English. The promise goes vice a versa and so that will help her a lot!!

This week we are working hard and preparing ourselves for General Conference. Now, with the availability of conference on internet, many members will be staying home and watching like we do back in the states. I would love to go watch it in the house of a member, but we as missionaries have to go watch it in the Stake Center. I love conference and I can't wait to be able to take the advice of the Apostles and apply it in my life to be able to improve.

I love you guys sooo much and a lot!!

Mar 21 - San Gabriel

Hello All,

This week has been great! We have been working really hard and we finally had the baptism of Jeremy! He told us that the morning before he got baptized he woke up and heard a voice that said no te bautices (Don't get baptized). It freaked him out haha but said a prayer and got comforted immediately and was soo excited when he finally got baptized. He is 13 and wants to go on a mission already! He will be receiving the priesthood this sunday and is progressing a lot!!

I can't wait for the conference to come! I remember that always back at home I would be listening to conference and then have the laptop as well with my fantasy football going hahaha. I didn't appreciate it back then, but now I realize that i did take it for granted.

I don't know if i told you guys, but the last week Elder Robbins came to talk to all of the missions in Lima. He talked in Spanish and he still got it! haha It was cool to see him again.

On the 10th of April we will not be able to have meetings in church because it is a law here in Peru that the day of elections you cant meet up in groups of people. It is frustrating, but that is the way it is..

I hope all goes well for you guys and i will always be praying for you!! 4 MONTHS! crazy!!

I love you all soo much and a lot!

Mar 14 - San Gabriel

Hello All,

This week has been great! As you can see the pictures on Saturday we had a ward leadership training and we were able to talk to them about the importance of ward council and some other things. As a reward haha, we received hamburgers that were actually like the ones from the US. Usually here the hamburgers are like paper thin and not very good, but these ones were AWESOME! It has been a while, and it was worth being in the meeting ;)

This saturday we have a baptism of Jeremy. He is very excited for that day and we are also very pumped up for his baptism. He is such a great example of faith. His mother died about 2 months ago and he was really struggling with depression for a while. Then, his uncle invited him to church and he started attending. At first he didn't want to be baptized but with a little time he began to accept our lessons and we have now arrived to the great moment of baptism.!! What a blessing to be able to be one of the missionaries helping him to take these steps..

I love you guys soo much! 4 months and we will be watching tv with little caesars hahaha ! Until then Keep going strong!!!

Mar 7 - San Gabriel

Hello All,

This week has been a little crazy! Friday night we got a call from the AP that told my companion that he had received an emergency transfer. Saturday in the morning he left and I received a new companion Elder Wahl from Arizona. Something happened with his ward over there and so Pres took him and his companion out of the area. So he and Elder Guzman (my old comp) pretty much swapped places. 2 Gringos!! hahah He is awesome and we are looking forward to this new transfer.

As far as baptisms go we have four currently. Two of them are for the 19 of March! They will have their interviews with the zone leaders this week in preparation and then they will be ready! Can't wait!!

I think I forgot to tell you guys but in these last two transfers I have been serving as district leader. It's awesome, but at times a little frustrating because I don't have too much personal time to read or write in my journal. Nowadays I am too tired to do that... O well, I know that I will be blessed for what I am doing.

Also, I have been asked from members a one dollar coin, CTR rings in English, as well as my number 11 jersey with my name on it from Viewmont.. haha (they saw the video on youtube and so I thought it would be a great gift. :) If you could send these things and maybe some more little things in a package I would appreciate it!

I love you guys sooo much and a lot!!
