May 25 - Chincha

Hello All,

[We told him about Jen's back surgery] That is so great mom! I hope that this will be able to solve all of the problems and you will be able to be relieved of all of the pain and troubles that your back has caused. Make sure to take it easy and don't run on the treadmill yet! haha

This week has been great! We have found more families and are focusing a lot on part member families. We have one in particular that the parents are less actives and the kids are investigators. It is so awesome that they have the goal to go to the temple and be sealed as a familiy in about a year. A rule that our President has is that if we have participated in baptizing or reactiving we can be there in the temple when they are sealed. I have participated in about 4 or 5 families! I can't wait to have the opportunity to see them sealed as a family for time and all eternity!

I hope that everything is good back at home! It seems like it has been such a short time in the mission but at the same time it seems like I have been here forever haha. I hope that you will all press forward and continue staying close to the Lord. I have seen the gospel bless the life of sooo many people and I cant wait to bring this experience back home and bless our familiy and everyone that we know. I can't wait to have a Sunday where I can just go to church and not have to worry about so many things haha.

I love you guys soo much and a lot!!

May 18 - Chincha

Hello All,

I hope that you are all doing well.  This week has been awesome! We finally had some baptisms of two girls named Fernanda and Rosemery. We also reactivated their parents and so they will be able to go to the temple in one year to be sealed as a family. It is awesome because, we gave them a picture of the temple in Salt Lake City and they posted it up on their wall. I love it! Like Elder Waddell says, We eat, drink, and breathe as missionaries to seal families in the temple. With me coming up on the year mark I will be able to see multiple familes be sealed while Im still here. What a blessing!

Also, the picture of the family attached is another family that got married and baptized this past week. They were my investigators in Villa El Salvador and we have stayed in contact. They were a reference from Pres Douglas. He contacted them while they were working at a gas station. It just goes to show that street contacting really is a way to find the people who are prepared to receive the gospel at this time. I love missionary work!!

I hope that you guys are all doing well and good luck with all of the stuff that is going on this coming week! It sounds like you guys are keeping busy and on top of things!

Love you guys sooo much and a lot!!

May 11 - Chincha

Hey,

It was such a great time to talk with you guys yesterday. It was such a boost to able to see that you are all doing well and continue being blessed by the Lord. You guys look great as well and thanks for the picture of me with [our dog] Allie! haha

I heard that Austin [Howard] had gotten his call but I didn't know that he was already in the MTC. Time really does fly by! It is crazy because here in the mission the time has flown by but at the same time it feels like I have been here forever haha. I will hit the year mark soon and I have heard that the last year or six months is like nothing. I guess we will see!

This week we have the baptism of Fernanda and Rosemery who are sisters. In one year, my companion and I will be able to go to the temple with them and see them be sealed for time and all eternity in the temple. Such a blessing to have a temple in our mission and to be able to send people there and do these sacred ordinances.

I hope you guys continue to do well and tell everyone I love them. Also, if you could send me the skype foto of me as well that would be awesome! I love you guys so much and alottt!!!!

Love you soooo much!

May 5 - Chincha

Hello All,

This week has been awesome! This week we had TRANSFERS! and.... I'm staying in the same area with my companion and so nothing has changed. We are excited to be able to have another transfer here in Chincha. Also, Elder Wright, my old companion and the one who is in Uncle David's ward, is now here in Chincha. We are in the same ward! Awesome :)  At the end of the next transfer I will have completed 1 year in the mission! Crazy

This week has been awesome! A drunk man contacted us the other day and we showed up to his house yesterday and he told us that he wants to change his life for the better and stop drinking. We had a lesson with their whole family and now they have plans to go to church this Sunday. It just goes to show that we have to include EVERYONE in the gospel. It doesn't matter what has already happened, thanks to the Atonement, we can start over and become new people. I'm so grateful for the role that I get to play as a missionary to bring them closer to Christ. What a blessing!

I can't wait to be able to communicate with you guys this Sunday by Skype.

Keep doing well and I hope that you guys have a great week! Tell everyone back home that I love them and keep going strong. Until Sunday, I love sooo much and a lot!
