Apr 25 - Pisco

Hello All,

The baptism of Christian was awesome! We were able to help him have a great experience! He also had a lot of his cousins there present who arent members of the church and we got some good referrals. We will see in these days if they can become investigators or no.

We are working with a family that is named the Family Perales. The wife is less active and her husband and 2 children are investigators. In Pisco, they are going to have a massive marriage ceremony. So the family will get married in May and then they will be baptized together. Pray so that they will all be good and be able to get to this day! We recently had a training with Elder Godoy of the Seventy and he told us that if we worked more with less actives, our baptisms would double. We have been able to see all of the blessings of this promise from him, being able to find more and more people who are willing to progress and be able to be baptized.

I am continuing to read the Book of Mormon every day and it is helping me a lot! I am on the 4th time cover to cover in the mission. That is one thing that I am going to miss about being in the mission, is having so much time to study the scriptures. I  know that when I get back no matter what I will not have the time that I have here.

I love you guys soo much and we will be able to see each other for SKYPE again! Until then, keep doing well in everything that you do.

Apr 19 - Pisco

Dear All,

This week were the transfers! I have been reassigned to the zone Pisco! I will be with Elder McLaws from South Dakota. Ha it is funny that he is the only elder from South Dakota that I have ever met. He is really funny and likes to work hard, and so it seems that we are going to have a great transfer! We already have a baptism set for this Saturday. Christian is going to be baptized. He is 14 and none of his family are members. We had a little hesitation at first to baptize him without the support of his family, but he has really shown his desire to be a member and so we are going to do it.

[We received his travel plans for July 12 when he returns home]  That is so weird to see the plane tickets already bought and ready to go. It is starting to dawn on me the fact that the end really is near. In the mission we are always excited to go home, but I think that it is going to be happy AND sad. It will be really weird to return to the real world. It will be a shock but I am excited to begin to see you guys and begin to apply all of the things that I have learned in the mission.

I can't wait to be able to receive your package with all of the goodies! I will be letting you know when it comes! I love you guys soo much and a lot!

Apr 11 - San Gabriel

Hello All,

This week has been great! We have three baptisms this coming Saturday. Franklin, Diego, and Sergio will be getting baptized. They are all soo great and excited for this great day to come. They have been attending church for a while now and have really progressed alot. It is interesting the change that we get to see in the people as missionaries. In our home ward, I never got to see a convert baptism and so I never could see such a dramatic change in the lives of some people. Now, my perspective has changed a lot to see how the gospel really changes the lives of people. What a great blessing to be here in Peru at this great time of growth!

My back continues to bother me and it is looking like a pinched nerve. I will be taking medications this week and I hope that it will all clear up.. It has gotten really bad to the point that I can't sit down for lessons and have trouble raising my legs to put socks on ... hahah looking back after it is all cleared up, I will be able to laugh at the video my comp took of putting my socks on hahaa. :)

[We shared there is a ward boundary realignment meeting this Sunday] Thanks for everything and it will be interesting to see how the ward changes. Even looking online at the directory there are many new people that I don't remember or don't know haha. I am excited for the future!

I love you guys soo much and a lot!

Apr 4 - San Gabriel

Hello All,

This week was great! I love Conference! I think my favorite talk would have to be Jeffrey R. Holland at the very end. It is really true what he said. We all have spiritual highs and then usually with the time we forget these moments and fall back into our past sins or past bad habits. We have to do all possible to be able to keep our spiritual highs always. As we do so, when we have trials or hard times we will be able to overcome them and come out stronger. What a great conference! It all went by soo fast.

We are still working really hard and seeing the results of our work.
I love you guys sooo much and a lot!!
